Congressmen propose bill to honor Fort Hood victims

If passed, the legislation would enact them retroactively to the date of the shooting

FORT HOOD, Texas – A trio of congressmen have proposed a bill that would honor the victim's of the deadly Fort Hood shooting rampage.

The proposed legislation would retroactively grant federal support and benefits for the victims and families who have yet to receive any aid because the attack was designated as "workplace violence".

The act would also award purple hearts to the wounded.

If passed, the legislation would enact them retroactively to the date of the shooting.
