HOUSTON – Six people were hurt Wednesday when a police chase ended with a crash in southeast Houston.
The crash was reported about 9 a.m. near the intersection of Martin Luther King Boulevard and South Acres Drive.
According to Houston police, officers began chasing the vehicle after the driver’s girlfriend reported that he had shot at her.
Police said the fleeing car crashed into a truck with five people inside. All five, including a baby, were taken to the hospital for treatment of injuries that were not life-threatening.

The driver of the fleeing car was also taken to the hospital for treatment of injuries to his face, police said.
Investigators said the man who was arrested shot out the windows and tires of his girlfriend’s car. She was not injured.

The arrested man will likely be charged with aggravated robbery and evading, police said.
