Charlotte FBI offers reward for fugitive believed to be in Houston area

HOUSTON – The Federal Bureau of Investigation in Charlotte is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest of Jason Earl Armstrong, Jr.

Armstrong, 27, is wanted for the murder of his wife, a Fort Bragg soldier.

Armstrong is accused of murdering his wife, Iris Armstrong, inside their home on the Fort Bragg Army Base in Fayetteville, North Carolina, on July 1.

He was last seen on surveillance video using Iris' debit card shortly after the murder, the FBI said.

He is described as having black hair, brown eyes, 5 feet 11 inches to 6 feet tall, and weighing 150-160 pounds.

Armstrong has ties to Georgia, Texas, South Carolina, California, Louisiana and Arizona.

He is considered armed and dangerous, according to the FBI.
