HOUSTON – Some sad news to pass along as a man who inspired his entire neighborhood has passed away.
We first told you about Charlie George earlier this month. Neighbors described Charlie as friendly and an amazing neighbor who loved to walk in the 800 block of Azalea in the Garden Oaks area. After he was diagnosed with leukemia three years ago, Charlie had a harder time walking.

Neighbors noticed and started "Chairs for Charlie." Everyone put chairs outside so Charlie would have a place to rest on his walks.
We're told he kept on walking until last week, when he had to go to the hospital.
