CINCINNATI – Cincinnati police have released surveillance video of a mother assaulting a school bus driver in the bus.
The attack happened in front of a bus full of young elementary school kids on their way to St. Joseph Catholic School.
Kiesha Shannon, 28, is accused of beating her 5-year-old daughter's bus driver, Deamber Martin, on Oct. 18.
According to a police report, Shannon blocked the bus with her car, then pried the door open and confronted the woman driving the bus.
In the heat of the moment, Martin said she went into defense mode.
"I was thinking, 'Oh crap. The bus is running, the kids are everywhere,' but my life is in danger, you know, I'm in danger, we're all in danger," Martin said.
Students can be heard crying out in the video, "Mommy, Mommy!"
Shannon faces misdemeanor assault charges.
