Cash reward offered in multiple burglary cases

SUGAR LAND, Texas – Several burglaries in the New Territory area have led Crime Stoppers to offer a cash reward for information leading to a conviction.

Investigators said there have been a series of burglaries in the heavily populated subdivision in Sugar Land.

Authorities said they are investigating multiple cases of burglary of a building, burglary of a motor vehicle and criminal trespass.

Investigators said as many as 24 crimes were committed between March 25 and March 30.

On March 27, police reported six motor vehicle burglaries. On Saturday, reports of up to 18 different types of burglaries were reported, the sheriff's office said.

Some of the streets that were targeted are as follows: Morrow Court; Bramlett Court; Twin Valley Drive; Cool Water Court; Heddon Falls; Lakspur Drive; Epperson Way Court; Clarenda Falls Drive; Brobeck Court; Burchton Drive; Chessley Chase Drive; Garrett Way and Whitby Court.

Detectives said they're seeking a person of interest, but other suspects may be involved in the crimes. The person of interest is described as a white or light-skinned male between 16 and 20-years-old. He is about 5 feet 9 inches tall and has a thin build.

Anyone with information is asked to call Fort Bend County Crime Stoppers at 281-342-TIPS (8477). A $5,000 reward is being offered for information leading to a conviction in the case. All calls to Crime Stoppers are anonymous.
