The Freedmen's Town Preservation Coalition has filed a lawsuit to keep the city from pulling up the historic bricks lining the streets in the neighborhood.

The city said the bricks need to be moved so the infrastructure under the streets can be repaired.

Contractors hired to move the bricks will now have more time to get their case together. The city will not be allowed to touch the bricks.
