Police are searching for the burglars who tried to steal expensive deep fryers from a northwest Houston restaurant supply store.
According to the Houston Police Department, the suspects drove a truck through the front gate of the business on W. 43rd Street near Highway 290 early Friday morning, and then used a rock to smash their way inside.
The store's manager said the burglars tried to get the fryers out, but couldn’t fit them through the door they smashed through.
The manager said the large fryers sell for about $2500 each. Police don’t believe the burglars got away with anything from inside the store, but managers still have to take inventory to double check.
HPD has not released a description of the suspects.
