Burglars crawl through wall at check-cashing business

HOUSTON – Investigators hope surveillance video will help catch a crew of criminals who ripped off a Northwest Houston check cashing business.

Four people cut an 18-inch hole into the back wall of the store in the 7400 block of Long Point.

Nora Abelar discovered the hole when she showed up to work at 9 a.m. Tuesday morning. She said the thieves took $10,000.

"They even came straight to steal the money we keep for the transfers," Abelar said.

Security cameras captured the group of suspects on their stomachs crawling on the ground as if to avoid setting off motion sensors when they first got inside.

They reportedly cracked a safe and raided the cash drawer.

If you recognize the people in the video, call Crime Stoppers.
