MAGNOLIA, Texas - A man has officially been charged in connection with his sister's death.
Jordan Abel Boijseauneau, 19, has been charged with murder.
Montgomery County sheriff's deputies said Jordan Boijseauneau beat his 17-year-old sister, Estephani Boijseauneau, in their home on Marshburn near Glenwood near Magnolia on Tuesday.
Sources close to the case said Estephani Boijseauneau had defensive wounds, indicating she did everything she could to stay alive.
"I cannot get into anything too specific, but I feel comfortable he applied pressure with his hands and foot to the extent it caused her death," prosecutor Michael Shirley said.
Sources close to the case said Jordan Abel Boijseauneau repeatedly choked and kicked his sister in the throat.
Jordan Abel Boijseauneau's 15-year-old girlfriend ran to a home about a quarter-mile away to get help. Investigators said she was inside the home when Estephanie Boijseauneau was attacked. Detectives said the girl had been duct taped and managed to cut herself free.
Jordan Abel Boijseauneau was found hiding underneath clothes in a closet. He suffered a self-inflicted stab wound to the his chest, for which he has been treated.
Jordan Abel Boijseauneau is being held in the Montgomery County Jail with bond set at $500,000.
