Search continues for missing Splendora woman

SPLENDORA, Texas – Each passing day brings more pain, more unanswered questions for Angela Porter-Russell's family. The Splendora woman has been missing now for more than 10 days -- turning the holiday season into an emotional nightmare.

"It's horrible. She means the world to us," says Porter-Russell's sister Peggy Stewart, choking back tears as she spoke to Local 2.

Porter-Russell was last seen on Thursday, Dec. 18th in nearby Patton Village. Her family says the mother of five went missing the day she was supposed to pick up her son, daughter-in-law, and their newborn twins from the hospital.

She never showed up. When she failed to surface for the family Christmas they filed a missing persons report with the Montgomery County Sheriff''s Office.

"They (the twins) meant the world to her," her sister Peggy says. "I just can't see her leaving with them here."

Her family has plastered the area with flyers -- hoping someone has seen Angela or her white Ford Taurus. They're concerned for many reasons -- including Porter-Russell's recent health problems.

"I don't know if she's had a heart attack because she had one the previous month and she also has diabetes," says Stewart. "So, I don't know if she has her medicine with her. It's just not knowing."

Anyone with any information about Angela Porter-Russell's whereabouts or her car is asked to contact the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office at 936-760-5800.
