HOUSTON -

Police have identified the man who was found stabbed to death in a north Houston street.

Officials said the body of 25-year-old Hipolito Ruiz-Gomez was found around 4 a.m. Monday in the 1200 block of Duff near Irvington.

Houston police questioned two people at the scene; but, investigators told Local 2 they have little to go on.

"When we were called, someone observed a body on scene," said Officer P. Vela, with HPD Homicide. "No one saw the actual crime."

Officials did confirm Ruiz-Gomez was stabbed multiple times from the waist up, including his face.

At this time, police do not have a motive or any suspects in custody.
