A driver is in the hospital after she was hit by a Houston police cruiser in Northwest Houston, according to police.
An officer was responding to an urgent call with his lights on traveling westbound on 34th Sreet around 9:30 p.m. Friday, according to authorities.

The officer was passing through the intersection of West 34th Street and Antoine Street when the officer T-boned a a woman driving an Acura, officials said.
Police said, the woman failed to stop for the officer and was taken to the hospital in stable condition, while the officer was not hurt.
Police said that in this situation, the woman will be at fault because she failed to yield the right-of-way to an emergency vehicle.
