The girl was last seen wearing a light green shirt, shorts and pink sandals.

The family called law enforcement, who began a massive search.

The Waller County Sheriff's Department called the warden of the pack unit in Navasota and requested dogs to help track down the child's scent.

Bloodhounds Ringo and Ranger and their handlers John Shivers and Sgt. Mitchell Kroll, were dispatched to the scene.

Ringo was taken to the location where the child was last seen around 7 a.m., Monday. He began to go down a private road to the left of the area where everyone was searching.

Ringo continued down the road until he reached a home  and went to the front porch and door. TDCJ officials  took Ringo back to his starting point and he followed the same path to the home two more times.

Waller County sheriff's deputies spoke with the people in the home. The child was found a short time later lying behind an air conditioning unit.

She was taken to a nearby hospital.

"It's an honor to work with such dedicated personnel who are willing to assist other law enforcement agencies to achieve a common goal,"  Warden Robert Herrera said.
