HOUSTON – Shoppers aren't waiting for Black Friday. Some spent at least part of their Thanksgiving Day searching for door buster deals.

At Toys R Us on Westheimer near Fountainview, the first customers showed up at 12:45 p.m.
Cartezeter Jackson said she had a bit of family time and grabbed a plate before she spent the rest of the afternoon waiting in the cold.
"I'm freezing to death but I don't want to leave. My brother means the world to me, so I'd do anything for him," said Jackson.
By the time the store opened at 5 p.m., the line stretched all along the outside of the building.
Johnnie Phillips said he waited in line to save money on a Playstation 3.
"Turkey is a dry meat. I'm more of a sides guy myself, so I'm not losing anything by being here," said Phillips.
Toys R Us opened at 5 p.m. It won't close until midnight Friday.
At the Galleria area Best Buy on Richmond, Mario Barrios got in line on Tuesday. He wanted to be first through the doors when they opened at 6 p.m. on Thursday.
"I couldn't resist," Barrios said. "The 39-inch LED for $169 and the Samsung Sound for $160 the original price is $299."
Shoppers all over town seemed to be looking for the best deals on big TVs. At Target, shoppers were lining up to get their hands on 50" LEDs for $229. At the store in Missouri City on Highway 6, hundreds of shoppers lined up outside waiting for them to open their doors at 8 p.m.
