HOUSTON – Houston taxpayers are on the hook tonight for millions of dollars after a botched job at Bush Intercontinental Airport.
The city approved a contract to pay Weber LLC an additional $9 million Wednesday to re-do miles of taxiway at the airport. The concrete on the taxiways began cracking and crumbling months after the project was completed in 2011.

Mayor Annise Parker says this agreement is part of a lawsuit settlement with the company. "The city is going to pay for the portion of the taxiways that have to be done and the contractor will provide that service at no profit," she said.
The city has already paid the construction company $46 million.
