HOUSTON - It was a big night for Local 2's Courtney Zavala.
She made some big bucks for her favorite charity, while strutting down the catwalk by participating in this year's Design Wars at Simon Fashion Now Show.
Students from the Art Institute of Houston Design made Courtney's dress in just six days, and for only $75.
"It was really neat retro-inspired look that had some beading detail on the skirt. I really think the modeling abilities might have skewed things b4cause she certainly owned the runway." said Simon Fashion Now representative Jacque Ellis.
Zavala won $500 for her charity, The Parkinson's Society of Houston.
The three students who made Courtney's dress also won $100 mall gift cards.
Courtney Zavala also won Fan Favorite and Judges Choice.
