A public safety training drill took place Friday morning in Baytown.
The joint drill was held on the Lee College campus from 8 a.m. until 10:30 a.m.
Baytown city officials warned the community that smoke, emergency vehicles, and actors fake up with injuries could be seen during the drill, in addition to hearing yelling and small firecracker pops made by blanks.
Officials stresses that this was only a drill.
The safety training allowed for emergency crews to use a realistic scenario to plan the most effective response to the situations they could face while on the job.
The drill area on the campus was barricaded off during the training event.
