Baytown robber caught on camera

Man holds up Jack's Chevron

BAYTOWN, Texas – Surveillance cameras inside Jack's Chevron captured images of a man who held up the gas station on March 7.

According to Baytown police, the man walked into the Chevron in the 7100 block of Bayway Drive around 7 a.m. and selected some items which he then placed on the counter to allegedly purchase. The alleged suspect then acted as if he had scanned a credit card, but then pulled a handgun from the pocket of his jacket, pointing it at the clerk behind the counter, according to police.

 The man then fled with an undisclosed amount of cash as well as merchandise, police said. The alleged suspect is described as a white or Hispanic male in his 20's with brown hair and a goatee. He was wearing a dark blue coat over a red colored hooded shirt, blue jeans and a brown knit cap over his head.
