The Baytown Police Department is investigating a case of debit card abuse from May 6.
A 37-year-old Baytown resident was told by her bank that multiple suspicious debit transactions had been made.
When the woman contacted her bank the next day, she was informed that her debit card had been cancelled because of numerous fraudulent transactions.
The woman was told by her bank that her card was used at a Target store on the 3000 block of Silverlake Village Drive in Pearland, a Kroger on the 1400 block of Studemont Street and an HEB on the 1500 block of W. 18th Street.
The victim told authorities that she doesn't know how her debit card information was compromised, and that she still had the card in her possession.
Investigators say the victim lost about $680 from the fraudulent activity.
The Baytown Police Department is asking for the public's help to identify the man pictured in surveillance photos and can be called at 281-422-8371, or contacted through its website. Crime Stoppers will pay up to $5,000 for information and can be called at 281-427-TIPS (8477).
