A statewide Amber Alert was issued for Fritch when she was reported missing Nov. 8 after her mother, Cynthia Morris, 37, and her 13-year-old sister, Breanna Pavilicek, were found shot to death in their Baytown home.

Dobbs is a suspect in those cases, investigators said.

Dobbs was arrested at a bar near where Fritch's body was found days before the discovery.

According to court documents, Dobbs called his ex-girlfriend, with whom he has children, from the bar and told her that he wanted to go to Louisiana to see his children. The ex-girlfriend told police that Dobbs said he wanted to go because it would be the last time he would see his kids.

After his arrest, a Baytown detectives went to the Texas City Jail to talk to Dobbs about the case, according to the court documents. While detectives were leaving the interview room, investigators claim Dobbs said, "Kirsten is dead. I killed her." After a pause he continued by saying, "Not the real Kirsten, but the fake Kirsten."

According to the documents, investigators also found a backpack that was submerged in water near the site where Fritch's body was found. Inside the bag were clothes, a journal with Fritch's name on it and a knife that was wrapped in clothing.

Dobbs was being held in the Galveston County Jail on $500,000 bond.
