TEXAS CITY, Texas - The Bay Area Council on Drugs and Alcohol is trying to bring awareness to the deadly results of drinking and driving, by flying 1,498 flags in memory of the number of people killed in alcohol related crashes in Texas during 2012.

This is their 6th annual Healing Field Event in Texas City.

The Healing Field Event started as a temporary, visual memorial for the victims of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks, and had since evolved into a commemorative event for other causes.
