Deputies arrested three men who allegedly tried to steal a woman's purse at a northwest Houston sports bar Wednesday night.
Investigators said the thieves attempted to rob the woman at the Draft Picks Sports Bar and Grill in Katy around midnight.
Officials said several people saw what was happening and tried to stop the crooks. After a brief scuffle, bar patrons were able to hold down one of the suspects, identified as 21-year-old Patrick Ridioux, until deputies arrived.
The other two men ran away, but after a short chase with police, 24-year-old Kethus Byrd and 24-year-old Julian Marino were taken into custody.
The sheriff's office says all three men are also responsible for robbing two victims as they walked from the Walmart on FM 529 earlier that evening. During that incident, officials said the men beat a man and a woman, as well as robbed them of their cell phones, groceries and video game station.
Ridioux and Byrd have been charged with two counts of robbery with bodily injury. Marino is charged with robbery with bodily injury and evading detention.
