HOUSTON -

At least one suspect has been arrested after a bank robbery and chase in northwest Harris County.

It happened shortly after 9:30 a.m. Thursday at a Chase Bank on 19500 North Freeway near The Woodlands. Deputy constables say two armed men robbed the bank, then fled the scene in a vehicle.

A Harris County deputy pursued the suspect for 11 miles all the way up into Tomball, with most of the chase at high speeds going north on Highway 249.

The suspects finally stopped at FM 2920 at Cypress Rose Hill Road and at least one man was taken into custody. Officials tell Local 2 they recovered a large sum of money that was taken from the bank.

There are no reports of injuries.

The FBI is also investigating.
