According to authorities, a family was returning home after taking pictures with Santa Claus at the mall when they received a call from their alarm company.

That's when they logged onto their iPad and started looking at a network of security cameras.

Police said the family saw several men, armed with pistols, walking around outside and inside the home.

The crooks took several of the family's Christmas gifts and expensive watches, police said.

One of the men is accused of pointing his pistol at the family after they arrived home.

Precinct 4 deputy constables arrived within minutes and arrested two of the suspects.

"This isn't their first time doing this," said Captain Mark Herman. "These guys are hardcore. Harris County is safer with them off the street."

Jonathan Jacobs and Oscar Lopez have been charged with aggravated robbery and possession of a deadly weapon.

Precinct 4 said it is looking for at least two more suspects.
