Adam Heilers charged with possession of marijuana

KINGWOOD, Texas – Houston police officers nabbed a suspected drug dealer as he tried to escape from an armed man trying to rob him.

HPD spokesman Victor Senties said Adam Heilers, 18, of Atascocita, went to a home in the 4300 block of Oak Gardens in Kingwood on April 15 with planning to sell marijuana.

While he was there, another man wearing a black hoodie walked up to him, pointed a gun at Heilers, and tried to rob him.

Police said Heilers got into his car and drove away, but got stuck after driving over some bushes and ran into some nearby woods. He then waited for police to arrive.

When police arrived, Heilers told them he didn't get a good look at the gunman.

Detectives later found out that Heilers was at the home to sell some marijuana and also had an active charge of evading arrest from March.

Heilers was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana.

He's currently out on $5,000 bond. The armed robber remains on the loose.
