Campus leaders at the University of Houston are warning students and visitors to be on the lookout after a female student was nearly carjacked at gun point.
This happened Monday night at the Bayou Oaks visitor parking lot on the UH campus. University police say a woman was walking to her car, when three men walked up and demanded her keys.
Investigators say that woman refused to hand over her keys and that's when the men took off running. That woman then called police and was able to give a description of one of the men.
Police found the suspect 17-year-old Malkme Allen a short time later. University police say they also found an Air Soft BB Gun in some bushes where Allen was taken into custody.
Police have yet to catch the other two men accused in the attempted robbery.
Allen has been charged with Aggravated Robbery with a deadly weapon.
