Attempted burglary in Sienna Plantation subdivision caught on camera

FORT BEND COUNTY, Texas – Authorities are searching for a man who they said attempted to burglarize a home in Sienna Plantation subdivision May 25.

The Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office said deputies were called to the home around 2:40 a.m.

The resident, who recorded video of the man, said the would-be burglar entered the open garage and searched through a vehicle without taking anything.

"While the suspect left without any goods, he still entered a home, looking for items of value," Sheriff Troy E. Nehls said. "He needs to be caught and put behind bars."

The man is described as black and was wearing a light-colored, long-sleeved shirt, light-colored baseball cap and light-colored pants that extend below his knee. He was also wearing black shoes and carrying a backpack in front of his torso.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call Fort Bend County Crime Stoppers at 281-342-8477.
