At least 1 dead in crash on Beltway 8 north

HOUSTON – At least one person is dead in a multi-vehicle crash Monday night on Beltway 8.

The accident happened around 7 p.m. on the Beltway northbound at West Gulf Bank Drive when an 18-wheeler and a car collided.

It's not known what caused the crash.

Firefighters said they expect traffic to be tied up for a few hours.
