HOUSTON – The Astros announced thei regular season schedule for the 2013 season, their first in the American League and will open against the Texas Rangers.
"We are excited about the 2013 schedule," sais Astros Owner and Chairman Jim Crane on Wednesday.

"We think our fans will enjoy seeing many of the new teams and players that will be coming to our ballpark next season. This is an exciting time for the organization. we are confident that we are moving in the right direction, both on and off the field. Our plan is in place."
The Astros will host the Rangers to open the season Tuesday, April 2 in a three-game series. During the homestand the Astros will then host the Oakland A's.
