HOUSTON -

Arson investigators are trying to figure out what sparked a fire at a home in northwest Houston.

Officials say flames fully engulfed the one-story house on Paul Quinn and Bert Ellis before firefighters arrived around 11:45 p.m. Tuesday.

Officials say the house was vacant when the fire broke out.

The homeowner says he rents out the house, but said no one has lived there for a week.

Two dogs, belonging to the homeowner, were found uninjured in the backyard.
