Arrest warrant reveals new information in death of man allegedly killed by teenage girl

HOUSTON – An arrest warrant is shedding new light on a possible motive for a teen accused of murdering a man twice her age inside his Cinco Ranch home.

Sheriff's deputies, the Gulf Coast Violent Offenders Task Force and Texas Rangers took 18-year-old Monserrat Carrillo-Castilla into custody in Houston around 6 p.m. Sunday.

She’s accused of shooting and killing 36-year-old Willie Honable on March 6, inside an upscale home he rented on Ellerbe Springs Drive in Cinco Ranch.

Detectives said he had recently moved to the area from California.

According to Castilla’s arrest warrant, she confided to a friend that on the night of the murder she and one of her girlfriends had been hanging out at Honable’s house. She told the friend that after they arrived Honable showed them rooms, offering to pimp them out.

The warrant says Castilla confided to a friend that later in the night, after they had left the house, she found out Honable had raped her girlfriend.  Castilla then goes on to say she returned to the house, asked Honable if he wanted a massage, then used a 9mm handgun to shoot him in the head as he was sitting on a living room couch.

The warrant says while telling a friend about the alleged rape over the phone, Castilla said “not to worry because she took care of it”.

Carrillo-Castilla is being charged with murder.  A judge set her bond at $200,000.
