Man accused of stealing, pawning items from church, deputies say

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas – Deputies said an arrest warrant has been issued for a man who stole from a Harris County church on Feb. 27 and then pawned the items.

The Harris County Constable Precinct 4 Office said deputies responded to the 2nd Baptist Church in the 29900 block of Northwest Freeway after reports of a burglary.

Church personnel reported that sometime overnight two men broke into the church, stole camera equipment and damaged the main entry doors valued at $1,300.

Deputies said they located the camera equipment in a pawn shop, adding that the items had been pawned the same day by a man identified as Jesse James Galloway, 39, one of the men who was identified in surveillance video from the church burglary.

An arrest warrant was issued for Galloway on charges of burglary of a building.
