Armed men rob two fast-food restaurants in under an hour

HOUSTON – Two men, one of them armed with a long rifle, robbed two fast-food restaurants in under an hour.

The first robbery happened around 10:23 p.m. on May 14.

Police said the men walked into a restaurant in the 10700 block of West Bellfort Street, and one of them pointed a rifle at the employees, demanding money from the cash register.

After getting the cash, the thieves sped off, possibly in a black four-door Nissan, according to reports.

The same two men also robbed another restaurant in the 1400 block of Wirt Road around 11:17 that same night, police said.

During that incident, investigators said the robbers wielded a similar weapon, demanded money, robbed the customers and took off in a similar vehicle.

The first suspect is described as a black man, approximately 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighing 150-160 pounds, between 20 and 25 years old. He was wearing a black ski mask, gray sweatshirt, black pants and black tennis shoes at the time of the robberies, according to police. He was also the one carrying the rifle.

The second suspect is described as a black man, approximately 5 feet 6 inches tall, weighing 150-160 pounds, also between 20 and 25 years old. Police said he was wearing a black hoodie with a mask, black pants, white gloves, red shoes and a tan backpack at the time of the robberies.

Crime Stoppers is offering up to a $5,000 reward for information leading to an arrest.
