Apple put months of rumors to rest by unveiling two new versions of its signature smartphone.

The iPhone 5C is Apple’s answer to rivals like Samsung. It’s a less expensive, plastic iPhone that will come in 5 colors, blue, white, pink, yellow and green.

Within minutes of the announcement, website Buzz Feed posted that the colors are the same as Crocs.

On twitter, someone else chirped, “Crocs. This is not good for Apple's cool factor."

Houston lawyer Adam Ramji disagrees. He was at the Apple store about an hour after Apple’s announcement in California.

“I was actually coming from home, coming this way, and it's like a drug, let me get my fix,” he joked.

Ramji said he'll be one of the first in line to get Apple's new flagship smartphone, the iPhone 5s. That model will be offered in three colors with camera upgrades that include larger pixels to
capture more light and a two tone flash along with a faster processor. The 5S also unlocks the phone with your fingerprint, instead of a pass code.

“That's really cool, but it doesn't matter,” said one Apple customer. “If I have to punch in 4 numbers, that's fine.”

On Twitter, Motorola Mobility wrote, "Remember that one time you were stoked to give your fingerprints? Us either."

The iPhone 5S will have a starting price of $199 for a 16GB model with a two year contract. It goes on sale September 20th. If you have an iPhone 4 or later or an iPad 2 or later, you can get the free Apple ios 7 upgrade on September 18th.
