Man shot in the buttocks after transaction goes bad

A man is recovering after being shot in the buttocks during what police are calling a transaction gone wrong on Wednesday, Oct. 31. (KPRC)

HOUSTON – A man is recovering from a gunshot wound, after what police are calling a transaction gone wrong.

According to police, around 10:30 p.m. Tuesday two men were doing a transaction in the parking lot of an apartment complex near Leonora and Glen Prairie streets in southeast Houston when things when south.

One of the men was selling a Bluetooth device. When the buyer tried to pay in counterfeit money a fight ensued and one of the men pulled out a gun and fired it. 

According to authorities, as he shot, the other man turned and was hit in the buttocks by the bullet.

The man who was shot was taken to the hospital in stable condition and is expected to survive, police said.
