American Airlines stops most free hot meals

DALLAS, Texas – You may want to pack a snack if you are flying American Airlines.

Beginning Sept. 1, the north Texas-based carrier will stop serving free hot meals to first and business class passengers on most flights under 1,000 miles.

The change is in an effort for the airline to cut costs.
