A 16-year-old girl has been found safe after investigators say her biological father kidnapped her.
The girl was last seen in Friendswood, but investigators just found her and her dad in Liberty County.
The teenager's stepfather tells Local 2 she is safe with her mother. They are heading home. The girl's biological father is heading to jail. He has been charged with two felonies.
According to her mom and stepdad, the girl ran away from home on May 23. Her mother was speaking with her by cell phone and later found out she was with her father, Jackie Fulcher, and knew something was wrong.
Officers say they found Jackie Fulcher, 36, and his daughter walking along the street Thursday afternoon. He had a felony warrant issued for his arrest for two charges of sexual assault of a child.
According to Friendswood police officers, relatives told investigators Jackie was "hiding out in the woods" in Shepherd with his daughter.
The girl's stepfather says the teen is safe and unharmed. They say they want to thank the deputies Liberty County and the officers in Friendswood.
Jackie Fulcher did not have parental custody of Jasmine. Court record show he has a criminal history of burglary and drug possession.
