Alleged drunk driver caught in Arizona months after deadly Houston crash

HOUSTON – A man accused of driving drunk and causing a deadly wrong-way crash in Houston in April has been arrested in another state.

Florian Quintanilla-Riva is accused of driving the wrong way in the 6500 block of Bingle on April 4.

Investigators said he crashed into an SUV. A passenger in the car, Steven James, died days later.

According to court documents, Quintanilla-Riva, 27, had a blood alcohol level of 0.47 after the accident.

Court documents state Quintanilla-Riva was recently arrested in Arizona.

Quintanilla-Riva faces an intoxication manslaughter charge. His bond was set at $80,000.
