Aldine ISD mom wants coach fired after allegedly calling her derogatory name

HOUSTON – An Aldine mother wants a middle school coach fired after he allegedly called her a derogatory name in front of her 12-year-old son, other students and at least one other parent.

"He called me a slut," said Christian Busby.

Busby says she was nearly floored when she was told what a gym coach at Aldine Middle School said about her. Her son, Joshua, says, he was embarrassed and angered by the coach's comment.

Joshua says it happened when the coach was actually talking to another student.

"He started flirting with my friend's mama," said Joshua. "My friend said, 'I'm gonna tell my daddy.' And then he (the coach) said, 'I'm just playing. But I like everybody's mama.' Except for my mama."

Christian Busby says off the football field is the only interaction she's ever had with the coach. She says she discussed Joshua's playing time during a game this season. She insists she was cordial. But other than that she says she knows of no reason the coach would call her such a name.

She believes Aldine ISD should fire the coach to send him and her son a message.

"I don't want him to ever think it's acceptable to disrespect a woman," said Busby. "And that's what he did."
