Customers of Spirit Airlines will soon have more destination options.

The company announced new routes Thursday from George Bush Intercontinental Airport to Atlanta, Fort Lauderdale, Fla., New Orleans and San Diego beginning on Sept. 3.

Spirit also announced new service from Houston to Kansas City on Wednesday.

“Spirit Airlines continues to capitalize on the expansion opportunities available to them in the Houston market and our passengers are definitely benefitting as a result,” Houston Aviation Director Mario C. Diaz said. “We appreciate their confidence and look forward to working with them in building an even stronger Houston route map for the future.”
