HOUSTON - Hundreds marched through the streets of downtown Houston on Saturday, calling for immigration reform.
More than 140 events took place nationwide Saturday as event organizers called for reform that ends deportation and wasteful spending on border militarization.
Activists in Houston took to the streets, leading a march from City Hall to the Mickey Leland Federal Building in downtown Houston.
Those organizers said despite the partial government shutdown, the immigration reform movement is stronger than ever.
