HOUSTON - Charges have been filed against a drunk driving suspect who allegedly caused an accident in which a woman was killed.

According to witnesses, Kenneth Johnson, 22, was driving at a high rate of speed on Kingwood Drive on June 11 around 9 a.m. Witnesses say he was weaving in and out of traffic. Johnson's vehicle struck the rear of a Chevrolet Monte Carlo. Investigators say the driver of the Monte Carlo lost control, left the roadway and struck a fixed object.

The driver of the Monte Carlo, a 52-year-old woman, died at the scene. The front seat passenger of the Monte Carlo, an 8-year-old girl, was transported to Texas Children's Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Investigators say Johnson was intoxicated. He has been charged with intoxication manslaughter.
