General Position Description:
KPRC-TV Local 2, the Post Newsweek owned-NBC station in Houston, Texas has an opening for an accounts payable clerk to perform various accounting and clerical tasks related to the maintenance and processing of accounts payable transactions.
Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be responsible for accounting functions including matching of invoices, account coding and disbursements, processing and distributing checks and maintaining payment records/files. Will also manage the purchase card process, to include ensuring approvals are received in a timely manner. Additional duties include processing employee expense reports, updating and tracking vendor contract files/spreadsheet, and closing purchase orders in accounting program.

Qualifications:
-2-3 years accounts payable experience required
-Experience with Great Plains, a plus
-Requires proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
-Must have good judgment, strong work ethic, and excellent organizational and reconciliation skills
