GALVESTON, Texas – Traffic was crawling on the Galveston Causeway after an accident shut down the roadway on Saturday.
The crash happened Saturday afternoon near the island entrance, when either a box truck or possibly a camper flipped on its side.

Traffic leaving the island was not affected by the accident.
It is unclear whether there were any injuries.
No other information was immediately released.
