A beautician is charged with unlicensed medical practice after a breast augmentation she's accused of performing left a customer hospitalized in critical condition.

TYLER, Texas -

East Texas police are seeking a beautician charged with unlicensed medical practice after a breast augmentation she's accused of performing left a customer hospitalized in critical condition.

A Tyler police statement says warrants have been issued for the arrest of Carmel Mitchelle Foster-Alexander, owner of Queen Divas Hair Salon and Spa.

According to the statement, a Longview woman was admitted Feb. 16 to a hospital, where she's listed in critical condition with severe chest pain. Police say the woman's family reported she had received injections of an unknown substance to augment her breasts the day before her hospitalization.

The family says Foster also performed a similar procedure on the customer's cousin two weeks ago.

Bonds are set at $200,000. The telephone numbers listed for Foster have been disconnected.
