Woman hospitalized after HPD officer crashed into her car

 A woman is recovering after a Houston Police officer crashed into her car.

Investigators said the officer was responding to a call to backup another officer, when he crashed on Antoine and Highway 290, around 1:00 a.m.

For some unknown reason the officer lost control at the  intersection.

The police car skidded and then swerved into a Mazda car that was stopped at a red light.

The officer was not hurt.

The woman inside the Mazda was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
