Woman found dead on side of northeast Houston street
Detectives waiting on autopsy to determine cause of death
An investigation is under way into the death of a woman in northeast Houston.
The woman's body was found on the side of the road on Harrell and Firnat around 9:45 p.m. Wednesday.
At first, investigators thought she was hit by a car, but they haven't found any evidence to substantiate the theory.
HPD's Homicide Division has taken over the investigation.
They could not find any signs of obvious trauma, so they are going to wait for the Medical Examiner's autopsy to determine how she died.
