A woman was fatally hit by a tow truck in southwest Houston Monday.

Houston police said the incident happened on Bellaire Boulevard near South Gessner about 3:20 p.m.

Investigators said the woman was hit as the tow truck driver pulled out of a parking lot.

Detectives said the victim was 73 years old. Her name has not been released.

The tow truck driver did stop, officials said.
