Whataburger unveiled a new look Monday for its menu to make room for new items alongside all its customer favorites.
Whataburger's menu will be rearranged and simplified in categories for burgers, chicken and breakfast, but will still include the favorites customers have come to know and love, including the all-time favorites.
"We think our customers will be extremely pleased with the new menu items we've added, and we redesigned our menu boards to accommodate these additions," Whataburger Group Director of Marketing and Innovation Rich Scheffler said. "The new menu is easier to navigate and provides more variety for our customers."
Whataburger introduced two salads as part of the new menu, including an apple and cranberry chicken salad made with romaine lettuce, dried cranberries, fresh apples and shredded cheddar cheese, topped with grilled chicken.
Adding to its lineup of salad dressings, the restaurant will begin offering low-fat honey pepper vinaigrette and low-fat herb vinaigrette to complement its new salads.
A '550 Calories or Less' menu with a selection of lower-calorie items will also be featured as part of Whataburger's new menu design.
"Our new '550 Calories or Less' menu provides guests more options without compromising the big flavor Whataburger is known for," said Scheffler. "We understand many of our customers want to make lighter choices when they eat out, and we strive to provide the highest quality, freshest ingredients to make their selection easy."
